Dirk P. Friedkin
Mr. Friedkin joined Troob Capital Management LLC in 2004 as a member of the investment team where he has invested in the debt and equity of both liquid and illiquid companies. His operational experience and depth of knowledge of the restructuring process has proven an integral component of TCM’s specialty investing in both public and private companies in all industries which are transforming their balance sheets. Prior to joining TCM, Mr. Friedkin was a Vice President in Ernst & Young Corporate Finance LLC’s New York office focusing primarily on providing restructuring and reorganization services to numerous companies in the manufacturing, retail, telecommunication and transportation industries. He has advised companies through the entire restructuring process including: planning and strategy development; arrangement and negotiation of Debtor In Possession and exit financing; preparation of short term and long term budgets; divestitures of business units; analysis of debt capacity; business plan review as well as evaluation of strategic alternatives. Prior to working at Ernst & Young, Mr. Friedkin worked for Radix Organization, Inc., a private investment company, performing fundamental financial analysis. Prior to joining Radix, Mr. Friedkin worked in all aspects of operations with direct P&L responsibility, including business development, finance, sales and marketing, for Air Express International, a full service international logistics company. Mr. Friedkin is a licensed Customs House Broker. Mr. Friedkin received a BS in Finance from Lehigh University in 1988 and an MBA degree from Columbia Business School in 1995.
